Activity overview:
ANEC successfully screened the documentary “Tibet: The murder in the snow’’ during the
screening and discussion session. The screening began from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm, followed by 30
minutes discussion with the attendee asking questions and sharing insight on the struggles and
current situation on human right violation by Chinese government inside Tibet and core
principle of the Tibetan people movement. It is a powerful documentary that accounts and
investigate, it highlights the issues of human rights, religious freedom, and political repression
in Tibet. The film shows how the search for justice became a symbol of the Tibetan people’s
fight to preserve their identity and explores the killing of a Tibetan nun and the wider struggle
of Tibetans living under Chinese rule.

Objective:
The primary objective of screening this documentary was to raise awareness about the
situation in Tibet and to highlights issues of human rights, religious freedom, and political
repression in Tibet.

Methodology:
• The session began with a brief introduction about ANEC and the significance of the
documentary.
• ‘Tibet: The murder in the snow’ provided a well visual highlight of human right violation of
Chinese government and struggle of Tibetans to escape and refuge in India.
• The documentary included interview with Tibetan who escape with document of their
journey and an eye witness of mass shooting and of unarmed Tibetan. It covers the brutal
reality of how Chinese government treat Tibetan people who seek to live a life with dignity.
• The documentary shows how the search for justice becomes a symbol of the Tibetan people’s
fight to preserve their identity and explores the killing of a Tibetan nun and the struggle of
Tibetans living under Chinese rule.
