Program/Project name: Seed of Compassion (SOC)
Date of activity: 15th May, 2026
Venue: TCV Day School
Reported by: Mindu Tsomo (intern)
Specific activity:
1. Storytelling Session: introduction of the book “No Difference Between Us”.
2. Interactive Bingo Game: To know about the importance of breaking gender equality and
promoting equality.
3. Charades/Guessing Game: A concluding activity focused on emotional expression.
Key objective: Teaching children about gender equality, respectful relationships, feeling, and
choice.
Total Participant/Beneficiaries: 25 Students
Resource Persons: Ngawang Paldon (Project Officer), Mindu Tsomo (Intern)

Activity Overview:
• The session began with storytelling of the book “no difference between us”. The core
moral of this story is importance of gender equality, respecting each other’s choices,
and validating individual feelings.
• We then transitioned into a bingo game. Each child received a half-sheet of paper
featuring a 3×3 grid filled with various traits or hobbies e.g., (“is good at cooking,”
“want to be a teacher,” etc.). Student had to mingle and find a peer who fits the
description, and have them write a name in the corresponding box.
• The session concluded with the guessing game, where student make two groups,
and each group have to select 4 representatives. The selected student acted out
specific emotion without using words, while the rest of each group students guess
the emotion, and who guess the most win the game.

Methodology:
• We used this storytelling session to help children understanding respect and gender
equality through characters they can relate to.
• Instead of just talking, we used a bingo game to get the children moving and talking
to each other. This activity helps them see that anyone can enjoy any hobby or job,

whether they are a boy or a girl. And adding fun game to change the energy of the
session and through game, working in teams also taught them how to cooperate.

Lessons learned and Challenges Encountered:
During the storytelling session, it was challenging to keep every student focused. In any large
group, there will always be few children who lose attention or do not listen well. We learned
that it is crucial to engage with every single student. Instead of ignoring the children who are
distracted, we should pay extra attention on them and support to bring them back into the
activity.
Suggestions for Future Improvement: Nil.
Activity Status: Completed.
