A week long photo exhibition title “Sixty Years of Nonviolent Resistance” by Active Nonviolence Education Center commence today. Chief  guest, speaker of Tibetan Parliament in Exile(TPiE) Mr. Pema Jugney inaugurated the event.

This photo exhibition held in commemoration of Nobel Peace Prize awarded to His Holiness the Dalai Lama thirty years ago is also in remembrance and tribute to individuals and organizations that have committed themselves to the Tibetan cause adopting a nonviolent approach for sixty years.

The photos displayed illustrate how practitioners of the Tibetan struggle have used an arsenal of nonviolent “weapons at their disposal. This exhibition aiming to promote the culture of peace give visibility to events in which nonviolence, creativity and solidarity have strengthened and created unexpected synergies.
