Activity overview:
ANEC successfully screened the documentary “From Tibet; How Two Brother Made the
Treacherous Journey to safety’’ during this month screening and discussion session. the screening
start from 5:40 pm to 6:25 pm, followed by half hour of discussion with the attendee asking
questions and sharing insight on the struggles and personal story of escaping and core principle
of the Tibetan people movement.
The documentary highlights the situation inside Tibet and the journey undertaken by Tibetan to
India in hope, determination and hope for a nonviolence movement. It does not depict a story of
pain rather the strength of human spirit and nonviolence.

Objective:
The primary objective of screening this documentary was to raise awareness about the
nonviolence movement of Tibetan refugees, their struggle for freedom and the escape they
made and challenges they endure to maintain their cultural identity of Tibet.
Methodology
• The session began with a brief introduction about ANEC and the significance of the
documentary.
• ‘The escape from Tibet’ provided a well visual struggles of Tibetan inside Tibet, the
escape and refuge in India.
• The documentary included the situation inside Tibet, interviews with the political
prisoners and the journey of escape from Tibetan refugees, offering personal and
historical perspectives.

• The documentary covers a holistic situation inside Tibet, the journey of escape and the
refuge inside India with stunning visuals and historical footage.
• The documentary conveyed both the emotional and cultural struggles faced by Tibetan
refugees.

Lesson Learned/Problems Faced
With change of location the audience were faced difficulty to find new cafe.
