Activity Overview
ANEC successfully conducted this month’s Screening and Discussion session, featuring the documentary The Journey of Tibetan Refugee: A Struggle for Freedom Across the Himalaya. The event took place from 5:30 PM to 6:20 PM, followed by a 10-minute interactive discussion session. Participants engaged actively, raising questions, and sharing insights about the challenges faced by Tibetan refugees in their journey toward freedom and cultural preservation.
This documentary captures the hazardous journey across the Himalayas made by Tibetan refugees, highlighting their resilience, determination, and the struggles they endure to preserve their cultural identity in exile.
Objective
The primary objective of the screening was to raise awareness about the Tibetan refugee crisis, their struggle for freedom, and the formidable challenges they face in preserving their cultural identity through peace and nonviolence while living in exile.

Methodology
- The session commenced with an introductory briefing about ANEC and the documentary’s significance.

- The documentary incorporated interviews with Tibetan refugees and those still residing in Tibet, providing both personal and historical perspectives.
- Through a combination of captivating visuals, historical footage, and emotive voiceovers, the documentary effectively portrayed the emotional and cultural challenges experienced by Tibetan refugees.
