Active Nonviolence Education Center (ANEC) is deeply saddened to hear about the demise of one of our founder Rabbi Everett Gendler. Rabbi Everett Gendler and Mary Gendler with the guidance guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama founded ANEC in 2007 with deep consideration toward the Tibetan people’s movement.

He was a kind and gentle soul and has always seen the best of everyone because of his generous heart. We will always remain grateful to have been blessed with such a soul as the guiding light to our organization.

ANEC will forever remember his hard work and contribution toward peace, nonviolence, compassion and love in the community. ANEC once again reaffirm its commitment to nonviolence and peace and will strive to walk in the direction he envisioned us with. All the board members and staffs of ANEC extend its heartfelt gratitude and condolences.
