Film: A Song for Tibet

Objective: To spread awareness about the efforts by the Tibetan in exile and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama for the Tibet cause through nonviolence and promoting peace.
Program Update:
The documentary movie was screened at Hope café for an hour and after that we
started a discussion about the movie and how did the documentary make us feel and everyone shared their perspectives. It was a productive discussion. The participants shared their views on the film and how they can relate with the stories of other Tibetans in exile. The discussion ended with a positive output and with more understanding into the importance of Tibet’s issue and its cause and how we can get through this with nonviolence strategies like dialogue and spreading more awareness in the world.
Introduction to the Documentary:
Methodology:
1. The program started with a brief introduction of organization and its vision, work and
documentary film.
2. The documentary film was presented with time frame of one hour.
3. After the screening, a productive discussion was conducted with exchanging views on the film.
4. The feedbacks were given on the basis of advertising about the program and its crucial that we need more awareness in the world.
5. At last, the program was ended with admiration and valuing the participant’s time and
appreciation for the collaboration with stories of Tibetans.
Lessons Learned and Challenges Faced:
1. Small number of participants were present at the event and I realized that having a successful screening and discussion with a small number of people is still making an impact in society.
2. It really encourages me to work hard and with more effectiveness in future for upcoming
projects.
