Seed of Awareness program is conducted with the collaboration between Active Nonviolence Education Center (ANEC) with Manjushri Educational Services (MES) through conducting a series of educational sessions for Tibetan children in Dharamshala during the 2023-2024 period exemplifies our commitment to promoting active nonviolence among the youth.

Through meticulously planned monthly sessions, ANEC aimed to instill the principles of active nonviolence in over 100 Tibetan children by employing a variety of engaging and child-friendly activities. These activities, ranging from book-reading and singing to drawing and self-reflection exercises, were carefully designed to resonate with our young audience while effectively conveying the importance of social justice and peaceful conflict resolution.

ANEC’s facilitators employed diverse tools and tactics to generate awareness about the need to combat violence through love and kindness. By leveraging educational resources and platforms, we sought to equip Tibetan children with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate conflicts peacefully in their daily lives.

This program underscores ANEC’s unwavering dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders within the Tibetan community. By empowering children with the confidence to embody compassion and kindness, we aim to foster a culture of nonviolence and resilience.

Furthermore, ANEC’s collaboration with MES in the publication of numerous books on nonviolence and peace demonstrates our ongoing commitment to disseminating these fundamental principles through accessible and engaging literature. By providing valuable resources, we strive to inspire and educate young minds, paving the way for a more harmonious and compassionate future.

In essence, ANEC views this collaborative initiative as a pivotal step in our mission to introduce the principles of active nonviolence to Tibetan children, shaping them into compassionate and empowered leaders who will contribute positively to their communities and beyond.
